This Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to all tickets purchased for events hosted by Terns (by Habitat Holding), whether purchased directly through theterns.com or through our authorized partners.

By completing a booking, you agree to this Policy and to our Terms & Conditions.

 

1. Cancellation by Terns

  • If an event is cancelled by Terns, guests will receive a 100% refund of the ticket value (including any platform fee we collected).

  • Refunds are automatically processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

  • We are not responsible for travel, accommodation, or any indirect expenses related to the event.

 

2. Postponement or Rescheduling

  • If an event is postponed, your ticket automatically remains valid for the new date.

  • If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a full refund within 72 hours of the postponement announcement.

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days after approval.

3. Line-Up or Program Changes

  • Changes in artists, DJs, décor, or event design do not qualify for refunds, provided the event itself takes place.

  • Terns reserves the right to substitute or modify elements of the event while maintaining comparable quality.

4. Guest-Initiated Cancellations (Strict Policy)

  • All guest-initiated cancellations, no-shows, or late arrivals are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable.

  • This includes cancellations due to personal schedule conflicts, illness, travel issues, mistaken purchases, or failure to meet entry requirements (age, ID, or dress code).

  • Please ensure all event details suit your schedule before booking — no refunds or credits will be issued under these circumstances.

 

5. Ticket Nature & Unused Balances

  • Tickets act as fully-redeemable F&B credit valid only on the event date.

  • GST is applied at the time of food and beverage billing (not on the ticket).

  • Any unused or unredeemed balance expires at the end of the event and cannot be refunded, credited, or carried forward.

 

6. Entry Denial & Door Policies

  • Entry may be denied for safety, capacity, intoxication, age, or dress-code violations.

  • Such denials do not qualify for refunds.

  • Please bring valid 21+ photo ID and follow all entry rules stated on the event page.

 

7. Force Majeure

If an event is cancelled or disrupted due to events beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, government order, curfew, power failure, or technical faults), guests will receive either:

  • A full refund, or

  • A credit voucher for a future event of equal value, at your discretion.

We will communicate updates promptly through email, SMS, or our social media pages.

 

8. Technical or Duplicate Payment Errors

  • For accidental double charges or failed transactions, email team@stayhabitat.com with proof of payment.

  • Verified duplicate payments will be refunded within 7 business days to the original payment source.

 

9. Third-Party Marketplaces

  • Tickets purchased through authorized platforms (e.g., BookMyShow, Paytm Insider) are governed by their individual refund policies.

  • Refunds or support for such purchases must be requested directly with those platforms.

  • Tickets from unauthorized resellers are invalid and non-refundable.

10. Refund Method & Timelines

  • Eligible refunds are processed through PayU Payments Pvt. Ltd. to the same payment method used for purchase.

  • Processing time varies by bank or card issuer but typically completes within 7–10 business days.

  • You will receive an email confirmation once your refund is issued.

 

11. Legal & Policy Notes

  • This Policy is governed by the laws of India.

  • Disputes, if any, are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

  • Nothing in this Policy limits your rights under applicable consumer-protection laws.

  • Terns reserves the right to update or amend this Policy at any time; the current version is always available at www.theterns.com/cancellation-policy.
